Dubai Visa Guide: Who Should Apply Where?
Visa-free entry, visa on arrival and advance e-visa — how do the three regimes differ, what documents are required, how long does the process take?

The visa regime for traveling to the UAE works in three different ways depending on your nationality: visa-free entry, visa on arrival and pre-applied e-visa. Knowing which group you are in is the first line of your travel plan.
Visa-free entry: Citizens of Gulf cooperation countries (Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain) can enter directly with a passport. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months, except for Qatar, where an ID card is sufficient.
Visa on arrival recipients: More than 60 countries receive a free visa on arrival for up to 30-90 days; Türkiye, most EU countries, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and China are included in this scope. This 'visa' stamped in the passport is actually a free entry permit; The period is recorded in your passport.
E-visa requirements: All other nationalities must apply for an e-visa through the tour operator or airline before travel. The required documents are simple: passport scan, biometric photo, flight ticket and accommodation information. Normal applications are completed in 2-4 business days, urgent applications are completed in 24-48 hours.
Common mistakes: (1) The photo does not meet the standards - white background, shoulders must be visible. (2) Passport wear and tear — passports with torn pages may be rejected.(3) Finalizing the flight date before visa approval — do not buy non-refundable tickets.
Extension: Most visas can be extended once within the country for 30 days; You can carry out the process through your operator without going to the airport. Track the time in your passport; Delay incurs a penalty per day.
